Frequently Asked Questions

What do we do on a Sedona Nature Adventure?

We go into Nature to experience how the physical world reflects our inner consciousness and provides guidance for our most profound questions. Borrowing wisdom from native and indigenous people, we learn to re-open our connection with the essence of all Nature: wind, water, fire, earth, animals, plants, rocks and people. We experience walking, swimming, meditating, group exercises, breathing, and our entire perception of living in a fresh, new, empowering way.

Where do the Nature Adventures take place?

Each day we explore a different canyon near Sedona. The ancient gorges offer streams with huge flat red rocks for meditation, natural swimming holes, sacred spring-fed pools, abundant wildlife, shady trees, towering cliffs and lush meadows. In the summer, we explore higher, cooler elevations than in the spring and fall.

What kind of physical condition do I need to be in?

The outings are not strenuous adventures. You set your own pace.

How far do we walk?

In the May & Sept quests the distances in and out of the various canyons range from ¼ mile to 1 mile each way. In June, July & August the distances are a bit longer. You can take as much time as you want.

How hard is the terrain?

For the most part, the terrain is easy and level. And you have the freedom to pace yourself.

Where do I stay at night?

Sedona offers many motels and Bed & Breakfasts in all price ranges. Camping is available for a fee at campgrounds--or no charge in the open forest.

How safe is it?

We hike in very safe areas. Spending time in Nature is much safer than being in an urban environment. We also provide tips on how to take care of your personal needs and stay comfortable.

Do I need to know how to camp or backpack to do this?

For May & Sept no hiking or camping experience is necessary. Our treks are easy walks. Please ask about the summer outings.

What do I need to carry with me?

For May & Sept we recommend you carry lunch, snacks, toilet paper, sunscreen, plenty of water and whatever else you need to be comfortable. A day pack or fanny pack is sufficient. Please ask about the summer quests.

Will I be alone?

We offer a great deal of flexibility for you to be alone as much, or as little, as you desire.

How age are the people who go?

The majority of people are between 18 and 75. Younger and older folks are welcome.
